The Darkest Day

Hello, People of the Internet, It is I, The Generic Guy (Heh, that rhymed xP)

As all of you know, SOPA and PIPA are two Bills, that if passed will destroy all "rouge" sites and turn the Internet into a Corporate Bitch.  Naturally, People are upset about it.

Wikipedia, the largest and most popular free encyclopedia on the internet, will protest by blacking out "the English-language Wikipedia for 24 hours, worldwide, beginning at 05:00 UTC on Wednesday, January 18." You can find more about that here

Many other big time people are against the Damn SOPA and PIPA bills.  You can find more information here

Come on people! Join in the protests, Call you Congressman/woman, and tell them that we, the People of the Internet, will not allow such bills to be passed!

  1. How do you feel the issue of intellectual property should be handled?

    1. Hey, Thanks for the comment :)
We have intellectual property laws, right now, under copyright.

I feel that, although piracy is good for business, unrestricted piracy is like those 'Too much power, Great Responsibility' things.

The system we have now, under copyright, is the best we have come up with. Total control of SOPA is bad, but complete anarchy of unrestricted piracy is bad also.

  2. That is a logical opinion. Obviously a free market system cannot work without a framework for enforcing property laws. I am opposed to the very concept of private property but that is irrelevant in this limited context...
